Abstract

Unconventional murals, which are part of urban art, are called graffiti. Graffiti is a type of protest painting that follows pop art and popular art, and as a result of experience in artistic application, it has provided rules and methods that make a special kind of protest expression in the visual field. It has forms full of strong and popular colors. Since this art is a follower of Western graffiti, it represents certain aesthetic features.
Statement of the problem: The classification of written graffiti in the form of design of decorative and special graffiti letters is in question, which can be classified based on artistic features.
The research method in this article is qualitative and its data is collected from library and field sources.
The purpose of writing this article is to introduce writing in graffiti art and its artistic classification.
Its achievement is that it creates various situations including four situations, with a general approach of decorative and beautiful form. One group is illegible and interwoven, another group of writing with decorative format is complicated and illegible.
