Economic contexts of changing the face of the military rulers of Shahrokh Timuri's court to patrons of art and social developers

Abstract

Conflict on power and reaching it more and as a result, beginning to decentralization in SHAHROKH period led to division of power and resources among powerful classes of TIMURID society. At this time, new cultural supporters were been appeared that the military rulers of SHAHROKH court were the most important of them. A direct link between cultural proceedings and funding related to it makes a basic and important question: Which economic development made military rulers support cultural and utility activities? It’s assumed that the new tax exemptions from SHAHROKH court and a kind of special attention to agriculture and business were the most important factor of appearance and attraction of the military rulers as the cultural supporters. In this article, meanwhile studying of researches about social, economic and political areas in this period, we’ll track and consider about the cultural activities background of the military rulers of TIMURID court descriptively and analytically. The researches results show that more than everything, the changed economic structure in format of tax exemption programs and also an economic boom of business and its efflorescence made a direct effect on the military rulers to be attracted to the cultural and utility activities to reach more legitimation.
