Satavand, An Iwan with pillar, is a symbolic structure in Safavid architecture, in which relation between the meaning and the form is based on symbols. This structure is present in pre-Islamic Iranian architecture and continues after Islam with few differences that its evolved example can be seen in Safavid period in Isfahan. undoubtedly Stavands of Ali Qapu is the most perfect example, because of its special location on the third floor and the ornaments, which play a significant role in shaping the concept. Therefore, the main goal of this research was to explain the meaning of Isfahan's Ali Qapu's Satavand, and in this way, by explaining the relationship between form and meaning in this building, concluded that the meaning or the idea behind the Satavand of AliQapu, according to the design and volumetric concept, is Mitra's Palace, as the god of light and heat of the sun or in other words the brightest character in Iranian myths, which is an example of all the ideal cities of Iranian culture, and on the other hand according to its ornaments, is both dignity and enlightenment, or more precisely, the dignity required by monarchy, Or the so-called Kiani dignity, that Such a palace is built only by such a king and nothing else.
