Image and text have always been two important components in the layout of Islamic art. The interactive relationship that exists in the illustration of literary texts has shaped the art of Islamic book layout with numerous patterns. In this study, the structure and visual elements in the research data were first analyzed, and then the position of the image and text in relation to each other was examined and analyzed based on Roland Barthes' anchoring theory, and the results obtained were compared and interpreted. The aim of this study is to examine the image pattern and its relationship with the text in the works of Kamal al-Din Behzad based on Roland Barthes' anchoring theory in order to answer the question of how the relationship between text and image in Behzad's works is defined based on Roland Barthes' theory. The method of this study was carried out with a structuralist approach with a descriptive-analytical method and a library collection method. The findings of the study show that despite the primacy of the image on the page, the text is anchored within the image and has a significant impact on the transmission of meaning. Citing Roland Barthes's perspective, the text is anchored to the image, and the text element on the page has gained equal importance alongside the image.
